Doug Loescher
As the Director for the National Trust Main Street Center, Doug Loescher brings more than 25 years of experience in the Main Street field. Initially a local director for revitalization programs in Maysville, Kentucky, and Corning, New York, Doug has worked with communities across the nation, in his role at the Main Street Center. Trained as an urban planner, Doug has received additional degrees and certificates in Adult Education and Training, Consulting, and Creative Problem Solving. He has co-authored several publications, including the Main Street Committee Members Handbooks and Main Street Success Stories.
The National Trust Main Street Center is the leading organization for commercial district revitalization in the country, with more than 1,200 affiliated state and local programs in more than 44 states. Through the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Community Revitalization Department, the Trust is broadening its programmatic outreach, offering new technical services and financial incentives for preservation-based economic development, integrating commercial revitalization, housing, and real estate development to create a comprehensive menu of support for traditional communities of all sizes from coast-to-coast.
