Lauren Adkins

Lauren is passionate about engaging people in revitalizing their commercial districts and has developed several special workshops and individual consultations designed to increase volunteerism and develop new leadership. Just because it's hard doesn't mean it can't be done. Conflict in our field is a common issue as we struggle with difficult issues. Lauren has led large teams of urban planners working to resolve community-wide disagreements about the future direction and also led small interventions between individual. No, she has never fired a volunteer but after some heartfelt conversations, she has helped some people find a better role within their Main Street programs. Her humor and depth of experience make her an outstanding trainer and compassionate consultant for individual programs.

What I most appreciate about Lauren is that she draws upon her many experiences and gives realistic advice....even if it might not be the advice you want to hear.
