Matt Wagner, Ph.D. serves as the VP of Revitalization Programs and has more than 25 years of non-profit management, corporate real estate, and teaching experience in the area of downtown revitalization, entrepreneurship and economic development. Aside from his professional experiences, academically Matt has completed his Ph.D. with a focus on urban economic development and entrepreneurship. He is a Fulbright Specialist Scholar, recently completing a teaching assignment on social entrepreneurship at the University of Hyderabad, India.

As a former Main Street director and National Main Street Center senior program associate, Matt has provided technical services to hundreds of downtown and urban commercial districts specializing in Economic Vitality services such as market analysis, real estate development, business recruitment and retention, and strategic planning as a follow-up to the market analysis. In addition, he has developed several niche services in social entrepreneurship for commercial revitalization programs, and urban specific services such as ethnic enclave development.
